Pamoo (aka Travertine Hot Springs) has become one of our favorite hot springs on the East Side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Morning light throws the intricate detail of the namesake travertine into full relief. Layer upon incremental layer have built up to form tall ridges, while a steady flow of hot water rolls down etched channels to fill the four pools below. These tubs are a masterpiece, many tens of thousands of years in the making.
