Printing & Framing

FORMAT FRAMING

We work with Format Framing in Melbourne to print, frame and deliver our prints. They have been making frames for over 30 years and work with some the best commercial and public galleries in Australia.

PRINTING

Our prints are museum quality and adhere to the highest international standards. We print on a 310gsm 100% cotton rag stock using genuine Epson Ultra-chrome Pro inks on the latest Epson P20070 printer.

FRAMING

If you are framing your print with us too, your giclee print will be dry mounted to an acid free 5mm foam board using archival adhesive film. Our frames are made from sustainably sourced Tasmanian Oak. The timber is milled, hand sanded and painted and comes in three colours - natural, white and black.

PLEXIGLASS

Our frames are the shadowbox style where work is set back from the 3mm museum grade plexiglass for a modern gallery look. The 3mm plexiglass is lighter than glass, it helps protect the work from UV damage and is shatterproof. We love plexiglass.

BORDER

Our standard prints have no borders. This gives a more bold, modern look. If you prefer a more classic style print with a border, send us a message hello@placesweswim.com.

CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY

A certificate of authenticity comes with your print. In most cases (see below) yours will have an edition number and be signed by the photographer.

EDITIONS

Our 120cm x 80cm prints are limited editions of 20. The smaller prints are not editioned.

CAN YOU PRINT AND FRAME SIZES NOT SPECIFIED ON THE WEBSITE?

Yes, depending on the photo. If you are interested in a size that is not available on the website, please send us a request to hello@placesweswim.com for a custom quote. To preserve the integrity of the photographs, we do not print larger than 120cm x 80cm.
